It appears that matches are now being reported on the official club website, which was not the case when I started the blog. Hence the reason for its introduction. In view of that I will not be updating the blog anymore.  Thanks to all those who supported it as with over ten thousand views since it began I think it is fair to say that the membership were interested in its content. I don't think any other club reports on matches like we do so I think I can humbly take some credit for that Once again thanks to all who supported it and let's hope the club website continues to report on all matches and not just the so say elite ones. Kind regards, Frank  https://tewkesburybowlingclub.blogspot.com/have been 9946 visits to the blog (does not include me) so I think it has proven to be worthwhile for the membership. thanks for visiting.  I began this blog because I felt the details of matches played were not being included by anybody on the official club website. Ladies League table and  results.  http://www.bowlsnews.co.uk/glosladies.html The Ladies B team recovered from last week's defeat by beating Coleford by 6-2.pts. Rink 2. Lorna Archer,  Carole Glass, Wendy Campbell and Gill Johnson had a struggle with the length but still managed to share the number of ends won and were only 3 shots down at the 15th end but then dropped a five and although they won the final 2 ends by 3 shots, lost by 18-13. Rink 3. Alison Marriner, Angela Slim, Jan Mundy and Pat Bearhad a close encounter up to the 10th end but always kept ahead, but a three at the 11th end and a 6 at the 14th end gave us a good gap of 11 shots and we eventually won by 20-13. Tewkesbury 33-31 Coleford.   Phew, close but a win is very welcome. The Ladies played Cheltenham Spa in the Top Club competition away this afternoon and came away with a convincing victory.  In the singles Marion Haynes won easily by 21 -10 after 17 ends.
